Tour de Belleville

Team Bellevegas participated in the 2011 edition of the annual Tour de Belleville. This annual community bicycling event raises funds for safety equipment for the Belleville area. Proceeds from previous years events have purchased a speed monitor, four emergency call button towers, street crossing lights at two intersections, and a patrol bicycle for the Belleville Police Department. In addition to the great fundraising cause, the Tour de Belleville is a great bike ride and family event. This years theme was Bellevegas, so of course Team Bellevegas had to fly their team colors proudly.

Happy Cranksgiving

On Sunday, November 7th, the team particpated in the 2010 edition of Cranksgiving. What happens at a Cranksgiving ride is that cyclists gather where they are given a shopping list of specific items needed by a local food pantry, plus a map of stores along a specific route (10 or 25 miles) from which to buy these items. This year Team Bellevegas joined over 650 riders and helped purchase over 6100 food items for Food Outreach. They had a fun ride supporting a great cause.

Berryman 2010

Team Bellevegas successfully completed the 2010 Berryman 12-hour adventure race. Their adventure racing skills were much improved over last year. In the 4-person team category they placed 9th out of 23 teams with a total time of 10:02. They will look to build upon this success at the Castlewood adventure race in December.

Champ-Sys selected as the official Bellevegas clothing provider

Champion Systems has been selected as the official clothing provider for team Bellevegas Cycling. The final designs have been submitted to Champ-Sys for production. The team eagerly awaits the inaugural team clothing order to arrive.

Team Bellevegas to compete at 2010 Berryman

On September 25th, team Bellevegas Cycling will be competing in the 2010 Berryman Adventure race. The four man team for Bellevegas Cycling includes CJ Rogers, Mike Braun, Phil Rogers and Jeff Price. Two members of this years Berryman team, CJ and Mike, also competed in last years race with the Pure Power racing team from Ameren. Last year the race director and other teams that had raced the Berryman before said it was the toughest Berryman ever. Hopefully team Bellevegas can build upon this experience and bring home a good result. Good luck to team Bellevegas!
